Governor Cuomo announced outdoor, socially distanced graduations of up to 150 people will be allowed beginning June 26th, subject to any outbreaks or significant changes in the metrics.
To ensure every New Yorker's voice is heard, school board election deadlines have been extended. A new Executive Order has been issued extending the deadline for school districts to receive school budget ballots.
To be counted, school budget ballots can be accepted by hand delivery through 5pm on June 9th and received by mail through June 16th by the school district.

Governor Cuomosigned legislation(S.8130-D/A.10516-A) that the Assembly and Senate passed last week that will extend the deadline to submit absentee ballots until the day of the election.
To be counted, primary ballots must be postmarked by June 23rd. The Governor previously issued Executive Orders allowing all New Yorkers to vote absentee in the June 23rd primary elections and ensuring every New Yorker registered to vote receives a postage-paid absentee ballot application in the mail.
Reminder: the special enrollment period through the NY State of Health Plan Marketplace will remain open throughJune 15, 2020. New Yorkers without health insurance can apply for a planthrough NY State of Health.
Because of a loss of income, New Yorkers may also be eligible for Medicaid, the Essential Plan, subsidized Qualified Health Plans or Child Health Plus.

Unemployment Insurance - The one-week waiting period for Unemployment Insurance claims for workers directly affected by COVID-19 has been eliminated. The Department has also announced that they are changing the unemployment insurance job search requirement that is currently in place.
